IT was a ‘hold on to your hats’ day of golf for the ladies playing in the fourth round of the Tre-Bella Monthly Medal ‘Stroke’, Vets Brooch, Vets Cup and Count Putts Competition.
The gusting winds played havoc with the high and lower hit balls and many of the scores, those who managed to cope with the wind were our winners for the day.
Jenny Delaney won the Tre-Bella Monthly Medal, the Vets Brooch and the Vets Cup with a 72 Nett.
Dianne Nowland was best with the putter sinking 27 putts to win this months title.
Winners of the Veterans Country Championships for Scratch were: Division One Debbie Cooper 90, Division Two Helen Castledine 95, Division Three Doris Maxwell 114.
The nett winners were: Division One Cheryl Thomson 75, Division Two Jenny Delaney 72, Division Three Margaret Dent 83.
Jacoba Simple was our Senior Vet winner with a 75 nett.
Wednesday 18 hole winners were:
A-grade Helen Castledine 72 nett, runner-up Margaret Burke 74 nett, B-grade Jenny Delaney 72 nett, runners-up Jacoba Simple 75 nett, C-grade Doris Maxwell 80 nett.

There was success at last for our A side pennants team, winning 3/2 against Aberdeen at Scone last Monday.

Next week is a stableford event followed by a committee meeting.
On Tuesday, July 8, Singleton Ladies Golf Club will be hosting a girls only day for girls aged between five and 18 who would like to either learn how to play golf or sharpen up on their skills.
All aspects of the game will be covered, clubs will be provided for first timers.
The day will start at 10am and cost $5.
This also includes a sausage sizzle, drink and a chance to win your very own clubs plus heaps of other prizes.
