Nathan’s scratch score of four under par 65 equated to 44 points for an easy victory on the day. With the championships fast approaching, Nathan’s form must surely make him the short priced bookie favourite.

Brad Kelly showed he is well and truly out of the doldrums with a 41 point round, resulting in runners up accolades at full time.

Ray Langdon must surely be the club’s quiet achiever. Week in, week out he seems to fly under the radar playing his consistently steady game. But this week he really excelled. He returned a score of 41 points to take the B grade winners honours from morning specialist Ian Brown on 38.

There was a very tight finish in C grade when George Marcheff and Trevor Lambley returned identical scores of 38. It was then Captain Col’s responsibility to ruthlessly swing the countback sword, ultimately declaring Trevor the winner and leaving George to lick his wounds.

In the weekly secret nine event, there was a mixed bag of winners. First place went to Jim Carey. Then followed Nathan Bagnall, Peter Eason and Paul Burke.
